Reviewing: WOJET Sandblasting Kit, Wet Sandblaster Attachment, 5000 PSI, 1/4 Inch Quick Disconnect - Price $140
I didn't know that wet-sandblasting was a thing so I am fascinated by this. It does need a hefty pressure washer, and looking at the average power of them in a well known red fronted tire store, they are mostly lower than 3,000 - Mine is 3000 PSI and is considered powerful.
My guess for normal fine sand is that 3,000 - 3,500 is going to be a good working pressure. 1,700 isn't going to be much good and even 2,500 is probably not going to give you the power you may need.
In any case, having tried this very briefly (the weather isn't good for this!) it mostly just blew all over the place, but on a less windy day I think it'll be good. I'd definitely say to wear the safety gear and maybe get some more (feet, face, eyes) and keep people away because sand is going to go everywhere.
I look forward to using this properly in the spring, I have a lot of uses for this so I am hoping it works as well as it seems it will!
Zero issues with this sandblasting tube. Heavy quality. Connects to my off brand nozzle as it should. The hose is heavy and thick, will last me likely for a lifetimeZ comes professionally packages. Very impressed of this product, even though I have never heard of this brand.
This is a solid device, I was expecting some flimsy adapter and tube, but this is really a well-built device.
This instruction says to install a MEG tip 15 degrees with the same opening for my pressure washer. I was con fused. It comes with a 15035 nozzle which would be a 3.5 size nozzle. So google search for meg nozzle chart and I found a couple good charts, find the pressure and GPM of your washer, and it will give you the nozzle size. In my case, for a 2700PSI/2.4GPM I will need a size 3 nozzle .
This is regarding the WOJET Sandblasting Kit, Wet Sandblaster Attachment, 5000 PSI, 1/4 Inch Quick Disconnect.
The assembly is very easy... one connection. It must be a packaging thing because it would be so simple to ship this as an assembled product.
I have dry fit this to my pressure washer. There was no issue.
Everything seems to be made from quality materials. I expect a long service life.
The hose is really long. I hope it doesn't effect performance, but it does give a good range of motion.
Keeping the sand tube in the bucket is awkward, I'll have to rig up some sort of clamp support.
It's fairly lightweight and won't add much additional effort to using the pressure washer in this capacity.
This is a really good purchase at this price point.
Current price point at the time/date of placing this order (February 22, 2024): $139.99 with no discount/coupon being offered. Pricing is generally fair however a decent coupon/discount offering would go a long way to help it stand out.
NOTE: This is just a the flex “hosing” and the blasting gun is not included.
Made of quality material and generally well designed. Comes well constructed for the intended task and application and overall I have no issues with the build and design quality. It needs to be protected from the demanding high pressures when sandblasting and this particular unit is capable of the task. So far so good without any real issues.
Comes in a pretty decent length and can work well with temperature/pressure extremes. It’s a ¼” fitting.
